Patti Lambe
aka “Patti Cake”
Patti Lambe will be presenting from 4:45-5:15pm
Pat Lambe, aka Patti Cake, is a mother of two and a former teacher’s aide. She has been delivering family friendly entertainment since the last millennium! She started out entertaining children and families as Patti Cake the Clown. Although she no longer dons the clown make-up or costume, the silliness just won’t go away! She has entertained at pre-schools, elementary schools, universities, libraries, museums, church events, birthday parties, and family gatherings from Virginia to South Carolina. Patti Cake’s storytelling sessions range from just for fun shows for all types of celebrations for all ages, to shows of educational significance for celebrations, pre-schools, and elementary schools.
Her educationally significant presentations promote reading and touch on a variety of themes that vary throughout the year. Pat is a member of the North Carolina Association of Black Storytellers. She has had a love of the performing arts, math, and science since childhood. She earned her BS degree in Electrical Engineering at NC A&T State University. She has worked for the same company for almost 40 years (whew!), in Quality Control and as a Project Engineer.
In her spare time (whenever that may occur), she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her pup, Charlie, reading, paper arts, and silk ribbon embroidery.
